August 2020

In Memory of Don Muhleman

Sadly, Don Muhleman passed away early on August 1st. He left us too soon and will be missed.

I started the month out with a soggy race day at Grissom Airbase. Unfortunately, my run group was the only one that had to run in the rain.

Dana and Lee flew down to Florida to make arrangements for Don’s passing.

I took a few vacation days so Luke and I could enjoy the last few days of his summer vacation. We took his kart to Michiana Raceway park and had a blast. The next day we took our RC trucks out to the local hobby shop and enjoyed their track. In between, hilarity ensued.

Sunday dinner at our house. Anna and Layla took advantage of our empty family room with a bit of dancing. Doug did not seem amused?

Luke’s first day of school! Starting 7th grade. Luke will be attending classes online while staying home.

Congratulations Dana!

Dana wrapped up her grad school experience! She is now a Clinical Mental Health Professional!

Unfortunately, due to Covid, the university did not have a formal commencement. Dana still donned her cap and gown for pictures. Later, Dana met with her classmates at the university chapel for group photos.

Later in the month, Lee and I headed out to Gingerman raceway for a Champ Car event. We did well on day one but had a failure on day 2 that ended our race about an hour and a half early. Even with that, we had a great time!

While hanging out at Lee and Jessica’s house, the kids were playing with our cars.
