Exciting news for our family! We’re in the early stages of building a new house. With the help of our builder, we were able to find a lot and agreed to buy it. More to come on that as the project unfolds.

Dana and I went out to dinner to celebrate.

Our lot is heavily wooded, just the way we like it. We look forward to continuing our life together in our now home.

Also in April:

Lee and I along with the rest of our team travelled to Florida to compete in a Champ Car race at the Daytona Speedway. We completed 7 hours of the 14 hour race before mechanical failure. Even with the failure, we all had a great time and reveled in the fact that we just ran on Daytona!

Packing up the next day, I took a picture to catch how ominous the clouds looked. It was a not very Florida like 65 degrees.

Lee and I made it back just in time to Celebrate my 44th birthday!

The following weekend, I ran my first autocross with my local region. Unfortunately, Junior Kart is still on hiatus due to safety issues but that didn’t slop Luke from riding with me and having a good time!

Later on in the month. More snow.

Even with spring around the corner, Luke and I are still working on hobbies. After watching a few you tube videos, he wanted to try paint dipping. It turned out “interesting” but he had fun!

In other news, I picked up my ’21 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack Widebody. This thing is a beast!

By chance, Baba picked up her new Accord on the same day!

We all met to celebrate Anna’s 9th birthday! Happy Birthday!

Since the snow won’t go away, Memaw took the kids to the park to go sledding.

Just when we thought we had enough snow, we got more snow!

With so much snow on the ground, we needed to carve a path around the yard so Doug could do his “business”

In non-snow related news, Dana wanted to try her hand at clock repair. We rebuilt an old clock with a new movement and chime module.

Starting out the year, Luke now has braces and we were buried with snow.

It seemed like January was nothing but snow. Luke and I did take advantage and built snow forts and engaged in a fun snow ball fight!
