My dad found this at a thrift store and thought I would like it. He was correct!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the build, I wanted to do a mild resto-mod look. Modern color with modern wheels. The paint color is BMW Barcelona Blue. I used a set of no-name resin wheels I found on ebay. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The engine was pointed Ford gold from MCW. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Red felt like the perfect compliment to the body color I chose. The interior was also flocked red. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not wanting to lose the details in the trim after clear, I chose to apply bare metal foil first. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Getting the ride height, “just right” took some trial an error through cutting the axle off of the leaf springs and making shims. I’m very satisfied with the final results. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
