I tried a trick where Bare Metal Foil is applied prior to paint. Using BMF on lettering was rather tricky. I hope it works out!

All of the Superbird parts are primed. Although not all were ready for paint, it is progress!

I realized, after stripping the paint on the bus, that I needed to paint the bottom half first. It would make masking the top half easier. Here, the green paint is applied.

The lime green paint looks good so far. Minor sanding will clean up the masking line.

Painting the top half second made all the difference in the world. Also, using an airbrush to spray decanted paint helped prevent a ridge along the masking line.

After carefully sanding the paint away, I can see the BMF hiding below. I manged to sand through the BMF in a few spots but otherwise, so far so good.

After going over the body of the Superbird, I realized it wasn’t ready for paint. I was still excited to move forward and painted all of the other parts.

The bus looks awesome! I’m very pleased with this combination of colors.

It’s exciting to see progress.

This hood is sprayed with Tamiya lime green pearl. Half is cleared with Tamiya Clear and the Other with Upol Clear. I wanted to see how the two looked. Later, the Upol would crack horribly. Not sure why but I did spray within a few days of spraying the color.
