My dad found this at a thrift store and thought I would like it. He was correct!
For the build, I wanted to do a mild resto-mod look. Modern color with modern wheels. The paint color is BMW Barcelona Blue. I used a set of no-name resin wheels I found on ebay.

The engine was pointed Ford gold from MCW.

Red felt like the perfect compliment to the body color I chose. The interior was also flocked red.

Not wanting to lose the details in the trim after clear, I chose to apply bare metal foil first.

Getting the ride height, “just right” took some trial an error through cutting the axle off of the leaf springs and making shims. I’m very satisfied with the final results.
