Continuing the pace from 2007, I was able to finish several more projects. After suffering a major set-back with the Chevy truck, I finally finished one of the more ambitious custom projects. Looking back on it now, I would have loved to try a few different ideas. The 1939 Chevy was another great project that resolved the fact that I never liked the way it turned out when I built it in 1996. Not only did I clean up the look but I was able to use a flip-flop paint that I had bought years earlier.
Finished this year:
1966 GTO
FD3S RX7
Custom Chevy Truck
1939 Chevy Rework
S2000 #1
I also started several new kits. The MKIII and MKIV Supra kits, EG Civic Hatch, 1932 Highboy, Fiat Abarth, VW Type 1 bus, 1970 Buick GSX and 1970 Chevelle. I ended up shelving the Buick and the Chevelle after I realized I had too many projects in the works. I also shelved the VW Bus after shaving the trim and roughing the body work since I really didn’t know where I wanted to go with the project. I also started a clear racing hemi engine earlier in the year to work on something different.
